When you purchase a ticket on the Website, the identity of the company from which you purchase will be represented by an Unicorporated Association: Shere Village Cinema.
The details of this un-incorporation can be found on this website.
In these terms and conditions, a reference to “SVC” is a reference to the association.
A reference to Paypal is a reference to www.paypal.co.uk.
Your consent to these Terms
Please read these Terms carefully. By purchasing a ticket on the Website you accept these Terms. If you are reading an electronic copy of these Terms, feel free to print or save a copy for your records. To obtain more information about these Terms please contact us via the “Contact Us” page of the Website.
Amendments to these Terms
SVC reserves the right to add to or amend these Terms from time to time. Amendments will take effect when posted on the Website. Please check the Website “Privacy & Legal” section regularly for changes. If you purchase a ticket via the Website after any amendment to these Terms, you agree to be bound by the updated version of these Terms.
Sale of tickets
The Website FAQs contain details of how to place your order for a ticket, including how to correct input errors during the ordering process.
We advise you to read these FAQs before you proceed to place an order.
The sale of tickets is subject to availability. Your order is an offer to purchase from SVC and retains the discretion to refuse your order. If SVC accepts your order, we will display a confirmation page on your screen at the end of the ordering process, and at this point there will be a contract between you and SVC. We will also send you an e-mail confirmation of your completed order, for your information. We recommend that you print out a copy of the confirmation page and/or confirmation e-mail for your records.
Ticket price / Card Handling Fee
The ticket price shall be as displayed on the Website during the ordering process, except in cases of obvious error. Please note that we are not under an obligation to provide the ticket(s) to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after the confirmation page has been displayed and the confirmation email has been sent to you, if such a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice.
All stated prices and fees include any applicable Value Added Tax.
Payment can be made by any method specified in the order process. PayPal will deduct your payment from your card at the time it processes your credit/debit card transaction. For the avoidance of any doubt, where a transaction is not completed for whatever reason, PayPal will not have levied its card handling fee, as your credit/debit card transaction will not have been completed.
Please read the SVC Privacy Policy (available at the Website “Privacy and Legal” section), which is deemed to form part of these Terms and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy helps you understand how SVC may collect and use your personal information, and the choices you can make about how your personal information is used. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between the SVC Privacy Policy and these Terms, these Terms shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
When you purchase a ticket via this Website, all transaction details that you provide to SVC and Paypal (including your name and credit card details) will be held and used in accordance with the SVC Privacy Policy and will be encrypted using SSL technology.
SVC don’t hold any financial details relating to the purchases or bookings made on this site. Your details will never be sold or shared with third-parties, without your prior consent.
Terms of Use
Please read the SVC Terms of Use (available at the Website “Privacy and Legal” section), which are deemed to form part of these Terms and are
incorporated into these Terms by reference. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between SVC’s Terms of Use and these Terms, these Terms shall prevail to the
extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
Use of tickets
You represent and warrant that any tickets you purchase are for personal use only, and that they are not purchased as part of any form of business or commercial activity, unless we have expressly authorised otherwise in writing. You undertake that you will not (a) resell or offer for resale any tickets (whether at a premium or otherwise) and/or (b) use tickets for advertising or promotions (including prize draws, competitions, contests and/or sweepstakes) or for any other trade purposes. If you resell or offer for resale any tickets, the tickets in question will be invalid.
Ticket Delivery Policy
Once the booking process has been completed and your payment processed successfully, your tickets will be delivered electronically within 2 hours (usually within a couple of minutes). Please print the email and bring a copy to the screening to provide proof of purchase.
Refunds, Returns & Cancellation
If we cancel a film for reasons beyond our control (including film nights, special events and the outdoor cinema), we will immediately notify you and refund any payments made by you for that event. Please note that the outdoor cinema is not affected by adverse weather such as rain or snow and we will continue to screen the film; however, the outdoor cinema may be cancelled in the event of wind speeds in excess of 24mph, if directed to do so by the organisers.
If you wish to cancel your booking at any time, please note that, being a charitable donation to a non-profit organisation, we do not offer refunds. However, if you feel that you have had to cancel for extraordinary reasons, and would feel that it is appropriate and fair to request a refund, please contact one of the Committee members to discuss or send an email to info@villagecinema.org – or alternatively, contact us through the website here. All refunds are at the discretion of the committee.
