Winter Film Event : My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady – this is our special Winter Event, with table seating and a pay bar for wine, beer and soft drinks.
The cost of the tickets is: £12 adults to include a warming meal of pie (meat/veggie), mash and ‘liquor’ (traditional parsley gravy).
Please indicate your meat / veggie preference when booking.
The doors will open at 5.30pm when the bar will be open, and the hot food will be served from 6pm. The film will start at 6.45pm.

The film ‘My Fair Lady’ is a musical classic that takes the viewer to aristocratic London in 1912. The main character is the charming and clumsy Eliza Doolittle, who is taken under the wing of the eccentric Professor Henry Higgins for an experiment to transform an ordinary girl into an ideal lady.
Magnificent musical numbers, stunning costumes and exquisite artistic design give the film a unique charm and splendour. Audrey Hepburn’s energetic performance as Eliza and the intelligent charm of Rex Harrison as Professor Higgins create unforgettable dynamics and chemistry on screen.
My Fair Lady is a sparkling comedy with elements of drama, about love, self-knowledge and understanding, which makes the viewer experience all the emotions along with the main characters. “It is a biting satire that treats both the most egotistical snob and the ‘lowliest’ street person with gentle humor and respect.”
The film won 8 Academy Awards, including for best picture, in 1965.
